Job Description

As an HR & Admin Executive at Commerceplus, you are the heartbeat of our people operations. You will work closely with the Office Manager and Managing Director to build a culture that people are proud to be part of — from the moment a candidate applies to the day-to-day moments that make coming to work worthwhile.

This role is equal parts people and operations. On the people side, you drive hiring, onboarding, engagement and training. On the admin side, you keep the office running smoothly and support the team with the day-to-day details that matter. If you love people, thrive on organisation, and believe culture is built through consistent small actions — this role is for you.

HIRE | You own the recruitment journey from start to finish.

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer management
  • Maintain and update job listings across platforms (LinkedIn, Hiredly, etc.) and ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of talents across functions
  • Support onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the team

ENGAGE | You shape the culture, one activity at a time.

  • Coordinate and organise monthly team activities, events, and culture-building initiatives
  • Assist the Office Manager and Managing Director in developing and reinforcing company values and team culture
  • Coordinate training and development programs, including liaising with training providers and managing subsidy claims (HRD Corp and similar)
  • Support talent management initiatives including performance review processes, learning pathways, and employee satisfaction surveys
  • Manage and communicate internal announcements, team milestones and recognition moments

OPERATE | You keep the engine running behind the scenes.

  • Assist with monthly payroll processing, leave management, HRDC applications and HR records maintenance in accordance with local labour regulations
  • Maintain and update employee databases, HR documents, and filing systems
  • Provide general administrative support to the Office Manager and Managing Director including scheduling, correspondence, procurement of office supplies, and vendor coordination
  • Handle day-to-day office operations to ensure the workspace is organised, well-equipped and conducive for the team
  • Assist in the preparation of internal reports, presentations, and meeting materials as required

  • Monthly team activities are well-organised, attended enthusiastically, and reflect the company’s culture
  • Training programs are coordinated seamlessly with employees and subsidy claims processed accurately
  • Payroll is processed accurately and on time, every month
  • The office runs like clockwork — the team notices the environment, not the effort behind it
  • The Managing Director and Office Manager have a reliable right hand they can trust with people matters and admin without follow-up

Job Requirements and Desired Skillsets

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any related field
  • 1–2 years of working experience in HR, admin, or a people operations role preferred
  • Fresh graduates with strong internship experience and the right attitude are welcome to apply

  • Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks without dropping the ball
  • Familiar with Malaysian Employment Act and basic payroll processes is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
  • Resourceful, self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A natural people-person who genuinely cares about employee experience and building a great workplace

Seniority Level
